LAFAYETTE, CO - Confluence Small Business Collective, a shared-office and coworking space for freelancers, early-stage businesses, nonprofits, and remote professionals, will relocate to the property located at 75 Waneka Parkway in downtown Lafayette later this year. The 7,700 square foot facility was recently purchased by Key17 Holding, LLC for use by Confluence, more than doubling its current size. Confluence will relocate from its current facility at at 102 East Cleveland Street in Lafayette.
"Lafayette has embraced Confluence in its first several years and we're thrilled for this opportunity to grow into a larger, more modern facility that will afford a greater variety of work and meet space without leaving downtown Lafayette," said Tom Hardie, Co-Founder and Director of Operations. "We’re also eager to expand programming and outreach in the new facility.”
Constructed in 2005, the building is equipped with solar and wind electricity generation, along with cutting edge solar hybrid hot water technology. “We felt the property itself was a perfect fit with our values and the values of many of our members,” said Hardie. “We look forward to fostering a culture of sustainability among our community.” Confluence was a Gold-level award winner in the 2016 Lafayette Green Business program and will release more details about its planned sustainability initiatives in the coming months.
Lafayette Mayor Christine Berg shared support for Confluence in a letter to the Small Business Administration. "Besides the value provided to its own members and users, the impact to nearby coffee shops, restaurants, and other retail businesses is significant. Confluence is becoming a draw within Lafayette, giving people good reasons to build businesses locally. When it comes to economic development, we all benefit," wrote Berg.
Confluence is targeting late 2017 to relocate from its current facility after completing phase one property improvements. Existing members will receive priority consideration for workspace in the new facility and Confluence will accept new membership applications ahead of relocation. Space design plans will be released at a later date.
