Do you remember your first job (or would you rather forget!)? For a young person, starting a job for the first time can be intimidating, but becoming a valuable contributor in someone else's business can be a launchpad for long-term professional success. In this program, teens ages 13-17 will learn critical skills and earn a Ready to Work certificate to present to prospective employers.

This interactive class on will cover:

  • Skillful communication with managers, customers, and co-workers
  • Appropriate behavior on and off the clock
  • Adding value and finding a faster track to potential promotions
  • Recognizing healthy and safe work environments (and knowing what to do when they're not)
  • And more!

A great opportunity for young people who plan to work typical and non-typical jobs...

  • Retail and restaurant
  • Professional offices (legal, health, real estate, etc.)
  • Seasonal jobs (lifeguards, outdoor maintenance)
  • Direct services (babysitting, child-care, landscaping, lawn services)
